Why I use oils in my spiritual practice?
Growing up in Africa, my family taught me from a young age to venerate oils for their powerful properties. From a young age, I was fascinated by the different oils we used in our spiritual practices and rituals, and I soon came to appreciate the many benefits they offered.
One of the most common uses of oils in our household was for spiritual protection.
We would anoint doors and windows with oils to ward off evil spirits and negative energies, and we would also use anointed oils from our church for healing and protection.
Over time, I began to explore more of the magical and healing properties of oils, and I found that they could be used for a wide range of purposes. Some oils were used to attract positive energy and good fortune, while others were used to promote health and well-being.
Today, I continue to work with oils on a daily basis in my spiritual practices. I use them to anoint candles, crystals, and other objects, and I also incorporate them into my meditation and ritual practices and magick ceremonies.
For me, working with oils is not just about their practical benefits, but also about the deep spiritual connection I feel when I use them. I believe that oils have a powerful energy that can help us connect with our inner selves and with the divine, and I am grateful for the role they have played in my life and my spiritual journey.
Many cultures in Africa have a long history of using oils for medicinal, spiritual, and practical purposes. Oils derived from plants, such as shea butter, coconut oil, and argan oil, have been used for centuries to treat a variety of ailments and to improve the health and appearance of skin and hair.
In addition to their practical uses, oils have also been imbued with spiritual significance in many African cultures. Certain oils, such as frankincense and myrrh, have been used in religious ceremonies and are believed to have protective and healing properties.
Many cultures around the world venerate many different oils
Oils have played a significant role in many cultures throughout history, often being revered for their healing, spiritual, or practical properties. In many cultures, oils have been used in religious ceremonies, as well as for medicinal purposes and beauty treatments.
For example, in ancient Egyptian culture, oils such as frankincense and myrrh were used in religious ceremonies and were believed to have healing properties.
In India, Ayurvedic medicine uses oils in massage and as part of herbal remedies, with different oils being believed to have different healing properties.
Overall, the use and veneration of oils varies greatly across different cultures and traditions
Anointing candles with oils is a time-honored tradition that has been used for centuries to enhance the power of candle magick.
In the mystical realm, oils are believed to be imbued with the energies of the plants from which they are derived. Each oil has a unique vibrational frequency that corresponds to different aspects of the physical, emotional, and spiritual realms.
How I work with oils
When I anoint your candles with oils, I infuse them with the energies and intentions of the oil, creating a powerful magickal tool for transformation.
I use healing oils to bring comfort and balance to the body, mind, and spirit. Protective oils can help to ward off negative energies and entities, while cleansing oils can be used to purify your environment and your aura. Nourishing oils can help to revitalize your energy and support your spiritual growth.
As I anoint your candles with these sacred oils, I am calling forth the powers of the plants and tapping into the ancient wisdom of the natural world. Together with your intentions, I create a powerful energetic field that can help you to manifest your desires and bring about positive change in your life.
